volunteer guidelines

Bikur Cholim’s recent professional development evening for volunteers who visit patients in hospital was a great success. The program highlighted Bikur Cholim’s commitment to further hone and develop our volunteers’ expertise and ensure that their visits have the best positive impact on the patients. Providing the necessary resources, Bikur Cholim is determined to facilitate our volunteers’ desire for growth. In this way, the quality of all services, and in particular hospital visits, will be strengthened.

The program featured an animated video presentation of the many important points involved in hospital visitation. We were privileged to have R’ Avromi Friedberg as the evening’s presenter, who shared his experiences and advice on a range of topics regarding hospital visitation. The event concluded with a dynamic question and answer session.

This event was sponsored by the Irwin Burns Volunteer Training Fund. We look forward to facilitating more training sessions for all volunteer categories.
